50% OFF CARD April 24 ONLY

Did you check out the cards in my Zazzle shop, yet?

Zazzle is having a sale and it ends on April 24, 2012 at 11:59 pm pacific time. (Yep, that's today!)

I just went haywire and ordered a bunch of postcards from my shop for the familia...

Even added this guy... watermark not on front of postcard.

I took him at the Omaha Zoo, while he was behind glass. It took a little digital fidgeting to remove the glass glare, but I think it came out real cute. Looks like something you'd find in an old safari scrapbook, don't you think?

In case you missed it... Use Code: CARDS4URMAMA for 50% Off All Cards & 10% Off All Gifts!

Can You Take A Cat On A Bike Ride?

Have you ever thought of taking your cat for a bike ride?

I wanted a covered basket, sort of like the baby carriages of Victorian times, but I had to settle on this... thanks to my husband's great find!

Linus and I took our first bike ride today! I put him on a leash, and held the leash in my hand because I was terrified he'd jump out.

He did really good! He only climbed his way out once, and that's because a leaf blower scared the you know what out of him!

Have a great week-end everyone!

Do you take photos of your pets?
My daughter and I are so infatuated with this little guy that we can't stop taking photos of him.

His name is Linus and his mamma was a full-bred Siamese cat, and as far as we know his papa was a Tiger cat.

I'm thinking of all kinds of ways I can use his snapshots for art projects.

Ideas???
I've got a question for you...
I think I will be toying with The Dabbling Mum's look for the better of this year, especially the home page. But at least the resume site is finally at a place where I feel like it's me.. from the words to the design.

How long did you take you to get to a place where you're comfortable with your online presence? You know, the look of your blog, website, or store?

How did you know that you finally had it right? You know, that "aha moment" that says, "YES! YES! YES! This is my business, this is what it's alla bout?"
Forum Etiquette Revisited

This article was first written in 2006, as a quick Q&A for a column I wrote for writers. It's been updated tonight, to include an extra 500 words. But what surprised me was how little things have changed in terms of proper forum (or now social media) etiquette.

It all boils down to one thing, really. Don't spam.

Creating For The Joy Of It...

I have a new post over on my art blog if you care to take a peek. On why my bird ornaments are created for the pure joy of it.

And there's even a link to the tutorial so you can make them yourself!

Need Help Finding Your Artistic Style?

Are you an aspiring artist? Claudine Hellmuth has started a series on finding your artistic style, and growing with it. Here's the second part in the series, part 1 was short and linked in the first paragraph of this post.

Do You Know About Forum Etiquette?

Did you know that there's a right way and a wrong way to use forums for your business? Posting in forums is easy when you understand these seven tips in forum etiquette.

You could even say these tips would work when commenting on blogs, or socializing via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets.
