3BeeutifulThings: Weekend Wonders
During this weekend wander I discovered the beauty of simple, yet subtle gifts in nature that I thought you might enjoy, as well...

Textures and colors of late summer ...

The Great Spangled Fritillary, one of the few remaining butterflies of the season at the Tyler Arboretum

A grand mushroom seen at the Mushroom Festival in Kennett Square,PA

Life can be good on the blue planet...we all need to be reminded from time to time when things look a little, well, you know the rest.

Hi Gunilla, Trina, Sarah, and Eleanor thanx for visiting.

Yeah those mushrooms were big daddies - lol.  Kind of scarey and wonderful.

I don't have much of anything left here with color so enjoyed your nature pictures.  The mushroom looks like something from outter space, lol.  Never seen one like that.  I've started cutting down all the dead, limp, dried junk left in the flower beds, but it takes some doing.  Got one fence row all done, the 2nd fence row about 1/3rd done, still plenty left out back and on the sides of the side of the house.  It's also a good way to weed again when you see what's around the stuff after trimming back.

Hi Christine, FancieStrands and Sandy.  Looks the mushroom is definitely a wonder.  I've seen large ones growing on and around trees, but this one was a biggie - kind of organic and sculptural art.  We lost our leaves early, too Sandy.  The summer was so dry here.

Have a super creative week everyone.
