So off you go to your local discount store and find that cute shirt or dress or skirt or maybe even pj's you just can not live without!! For me it is usually pj's as I live in my pj's! Wonder if you can call them work clothes and get a deduction?? Humm..
So after checking out The people of Walmart and picking up some milk and bread, you head to the checkout lines and ponder which long line is the shortest long line, never enough registers open!! You put your treasures on the belt and the checker begins to shove things in the bags, mind you however they want, not as you put like items together..and as the checker gets to your new clothes, which they always roll up into a bundle to see how many wrinkles they can make in the clothes, then comes the question, "Do you want the hangers with these?". I mean you hate to see them just thrown away, right? But you think of how many of them you already have and what you are going to do with all these cheap hangers!! Well, now comes a solution to all those hangers:
TA DAH !! Covered Hangers for your jewelry!!

I first cut a rather thin strip of batting and covered the hangers and then I had found this great shabby rose lokking material and I ripped some strips of that and wrapped the hanger with it...rolled arose from the same fabric and hot glued that to the hanger and then I had these awesome buttons that came off a fabulous red cocktail dress that had seen better days, a yard sale find, and I crucnched a bit of pink tulle to amke a backing and then sewed the button to it TA DAH!! A great place to hang my precious jewels upon!!

Same here except the rolled rose was made from pink tulle. I think these will look great once I get my new 5th weheel bedroom made over!!
The possibilities are endless with so many fabrics and embellishements to choose from and of course you can make these with those hangers sold in a bundle for like a buck or so..and your kids can make these too! I am also making some with long streamers from them to put pins and or hairbows on..so many ideas swimming around my feeble brain!
Have fun creating your new hangers!!
Hugs and Blessing to ya'll!
