tick tick tick...counting down to the finish of my bead studio!

I finally decided on what to do with the upper margin of my guest room/craft room. I knew I liked where my brown walls were stopping (I have nine foot ceilings and a seven 1/2 foot reach), so I had a couple of feet to plan the whatsit that was going to go on up top. My darling TV table was a perfect Robin's Egg blue, but alas I didn't have enough of that paint in the cache in my basement. I found a kind of smoky blue that I had gotten a couple of years ago (no idea why), and liked it for the trim and a couple pieces of furniture in the room.

This is where I started out this a.m.:

That's the little blue table.

So here is where I am now:

Question, would you paint this bureau? The top is in kind of rough shape, but it's solid. Do you see it in my new blue?

I still think I'll do one more thing to the horizon line on the walls, but I'm still trying to figure that out--I am contemplating how to illustrate my beads and sewing crafts on the walls...

But whatever the final answer is, I cannot wait to move in. Here's one reason why:

This is the view from the window. We have this same view in our living room, but we don't use it that often, but I would love to see this more than I do now!

I would love to hear suggestions on finishing this space. And then, if you would kindly come over and finish it; I would love that, too!

The walls look great! I wouldn't paint the dresser, if you do maybe only the top. Lovely view!

Thanks Jennifer, I am leaning toward just doing the top myself, now there's two of us (do we win the prize?).

Gorgoues view! Lucky you to have such space and a view to boot! My view consists of another apartment building...lol. I wouldn't paint the dresser, unless you do something off white. I agree with Jen, the walls are great!

I am literally inching along getting it finished (I am trying very hard NOT to bring up my stepladder, so this means someimes my furniture gets me all the way up to the crown moulding, and sometimes it doesn't), I have to use a level (thank God for 4' levels!) to draw the horizon line, then grab my blue brush to paint the line, then the roller to paint the midway, and then use the brush to paint along the moulding, then, since I am now close enough to see the spots of white showing through the brown paint, I have to get down, get the brown brush and pounce the white away...

I am never going to be done. But! I think I know what I want to do with the borderline...so I will probably be forced to drag the ladder in there tomorry.
