I was so inspired by recent blogs on the Hive that when my DD wanted to stop by Goodwill on the way home today, I knew EXACTLY what I would get there!
I found the most finely crafted glass flower dish:
It's about 5" in diameter, and very thin--not sure what it was used for, but it was one buck, so I snagged it.
Then I rooted through the other shelves, spied a couple of things, but didn't start grabbing the goods until I heard a couple of ladies nearby talk about finding "some candlesticks":
Score! A buck-fifty each, and the ladies never knew they missed the good stuff...
I just needed a couple more things:
A lovely 40's era pickle dish, about 8" across, and:
the ubiquitous pyrex pie plate; together, another fiver.
I washed them, and dried them. Went to find my trusty 3000 glue; got distracted by my giant Tisket glutton cat:
which involves a different pie plate--this one an old "New England" brand tin number--we have to use it to keep the cats from constantly eating. Ernie gets it, but Tisket never gives up, and fishes for tidbits:
One by one, a moment on the lips...
So, while I was distracted by the cats, a transmagorical fantastical transaction occurred:

A Pie/Pickle/Flower Tower!
I loved what other Bees made, and was eager to catch up. Whaddaya think? The pickle dish has 3 compartments, so I think this will go into my beading space--maybe I'll use it to sort some sea glass into for my next newest designs.
I bought supplies for one more, but I am thinking of painting a couple things on the next one.
Then, I'll start shopping in my basement--I better go buy some more glue!
