I made a dog bone lanyard a few months back. I picked up the beads at a bead show on a whim about a year ago. I sold the lanyard in December which turned out to be a gift.

You could make some reeally cute bone beads from polymer clay. If you tint translucent clay, you can color it with oil paints and it can look like stone. Quick and easy. Of course it doesn't have the properties of stone, but it would certainly have what ever properties you put in to it as you make the beads =0) |

Thank you Lyneen! Quentin - you're right, but they're just glass beads and not the right shape. They want gemstone like the pictured. Any gemstone, bu they need to be chunky. Hope that helps. |

That is an idea Candace. I've never worked with Polymer clay, unfortunately they want gemstone. But good for another learning project - great idea! Thanks Quentin. I'm waiting for ours in March. You found what I found Red. I even contacted those who had animal shapes and they don't have any either. Crazy! I hope your mean bead finder sis can pull this one off for me. Thanks! |
