Looking for Dog Bone Beads
I made a dog bone lanyard a few months back.  I picked up the beads at a bead show on a whim about a year ago. I sold the lanyard in December which turned out to be a gift.

My customer contacted me on Monday for another one.  Low and behold, I get another request from someone else today for the exact same lanyard.  So I'm desperately looking for these beads. Colors don't matter, just the beads.  I've search high and low with every keyword imaginable and still nothing.  The bead show is coming back in March and she's willing to wait.  I explained how I got the beads, and I may not be able to get them.  I had no idea that this lanyard would be so popular.  I made a bracelet with the few I had left over, but not enough for a lanyard.

The beads I used were Unakite and I was told Jasper for the brick red.  If anyone can help me track down these beads, I would be so appreciative.

Thank you!

You could make some reeally cute bone beads from polymer clay.  If you tint translucent clay, you can color it with oil paints and it can look like stone.  Quick and easy.

Of course it doesn't have the properties of stone, but it would certainly have what ever properties you put in to it as you make the beads =0)

Thank you Lyneen!

Quentin - you're right, but they're just glass beads and not the right shape.  They want gemstone like the pictured.  Any gemstone, bu they need to be chunky.  Hope that helps.

That is an idea Candace.  I've never worked with Polymer clay, unfortunately they want gemstone.  But good for another learning project - great idea!

Thanks Quentin.  I'm waiting for ours in March.

You found what I found Red.  I even contacted those who had animal shapes and they don't have any either.  Crazy!  I hope your mean bead finder sis can pull this one off for me.  Thanks!

Thank you a ton Eleanor.  I'll send those pics to the customers and see what they say.  They bead a bit differently, but I think that's a cool thing.  fingers crossed.  I'll let you know.
