Didn’t want to diddle around too much with this–the point is to show the fabric as the main feature. A little hand and machine embroidery, a bit of beading — and then trying to remember how i used to construct these little bags! There’s a way to hide all the seams except for a very small closing on the inside of it—took me an hour! As a result, i have some uneven points and edges, but since this one was for me, that’s okay.

And “mad” refers to madrona, not madder dye or anger For some reason that popped into my head, even though Madrona berries are more of an orangey red.

I would like to make more of these and run them to a shop of some sort, whether mine online or a brick and mortar locally. Lots of ideas for creating different designs.
