This past week the kiddies were out of school for winter break. Hardly even seems like winter with the mild temperatures we have been having. We didn't have any plans since the hubby had to work but I needed to make plans to keep the kids busy so chaos didn't ensue. Kinda last minute, the kids and I decided to make a quick trip to the Poconos for a little skiing. I must admit I was a little nervous. It was their first time skiing and I hadn't skied in over 10 years, and it was just the three of us.


They were troopers, and we had a great time! My daughter was a little daredevil and little miss independent, refusing to ride the lift with me. While my son took the more cautious route and opted for a second lesson.


It was so nice to get away and I'm looking forward to many more trip to the mountains now that they are game.
