I recently tried a technique of painting citra solve on national geographic pages causing the ink to bleed. I came up with some really cool backgrounds for ATCs. Check this out.

I love the look of this! What exactly is the technique? I use Citra solve cleaner..is that somehow used with it or is it a technique?

This really fun to do I think you'll like it. What you need is a bottle of Citra solve concentrate (not the spray) and National Geographic magazines (less than 10 years old, something about the ink). You need to do this outsind or somewhere that has good ventilation. Pour the citra solve in a dish and paint both sides of colorful pages, covers don't work very well. Close the magazine and let it sit for 1/2 an hour. Peel some of the pages apart to see if you like the effect, (if not close it up again for a few more minutes). You don't want the pages to dry together though. When you have the desired effect carefully tear the pages out and lay them flat to dry. WhaLa! Have fun with your new backgrounds.
