Halos of Hope N.E. team
I am starting a team of reliable people to help with the caps for Halos of Hope New England. My goal is 100 hats every 6 weeks for each of the 7 centers I have adopted. The goal total will increase once more people join the group and I adopt more centers. I, of course will be making a lot of hats.

  • Rhode Island Hospital - Pediatric Oncology
  • Boston Floating Hospital for Infants and Children
  • Woman's Health & Medical Arts
  • University of Vermont School of Medicine
  • Connecticut Children's Medical Center
  • Norris Cotton Cancer Center
  • Eastern Maine Medical Center

As members of the H.O.H.N.E team, you wont be asked to make a bunch of hats. There will be different groups for each center I adopted. Please let me know if you want to make adult hats or youth hats or both.
For cap guidelines and more info click here .
All caps should be sent to me so I can keep the Pres. of Halos of Hope updated on the count of hats being sent to each center.
If you would like to help or have any questions, comment below or email me

Halos of Hope

I am now a partner of Halos of Hope!

Halos of Hope is a non profit group who provide caps for cancer who have lost their hair due to chemo.

I will be the hub for New England  :)  I will be donating caps to local centers. One or two in the 6 NE states. Please contact me if you would like to donate caps. You can Knit, crochet or sew hats to donate.

Cap Guidelines

Handmade,
New, unworn,
Washable(preferred)
"Soft" means comfort to a bald head,
Cottons are an excellent choice.
If the cap contains any wool, please label the cap, some people have wool sensitivity.
Hats made with thinner yarns and fabrics are ideal for summer.
Fleece, heavier yarns and fabrics are great for the winter.
Scarves and turbans are also needed.
Sleep caps are needed as well. Best when seamless or soft seamed and made from thinner,
lightweight, yarns or lightweight fabrics.

Places I will be donating to

  • Rhode Island Hospital - Pediatric Oncology
  • Boston Floating Hospital for Infants and Children
  • Woman's Health & Medical Arts
  • University of Vermont School of Medicine
  • Connecticut Children's Medical Center
  • Norris Cotton Cancer Center
  • Eastern Maine Medical Center
Hopefully I can add to the list once hats start coming in.

I liked the pattern so much I made 2 . The hat to the left is adult size, the one to the right is toddler size.
The top is made with 2 stands of bulky yarn.
Red is also available.
