Just a note, over the next few weeks, you will probably see a little more Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker than usual. I have some things coming up and I realized that I have not blogged a ton of stuff over here! So, if you love Nikki Sivils, you are in for a treat. If not, get some ideas from them. I will just post them here and there and probably won't even do supply lists.
I had a layout up over on the Basically Bare blog this weekend. I am just now getting around to blogging it. (note to self, get blog posts scheduled in advance). I had a ton of fun making this one and it is totally OUT of my comfort zone. The DT over at Basically Bare encouraged me to try it and see how it went. I ended up LOVING this! I don't want to do this type of layout all the time, but if I have time to play, it is certainly fun to do.
Supplies: Pattern Paper-American Crafts (Amy Tangerine Sketchbook); Basically Bare Embellishments-Dress Form and canvas skirt, Fanciful Frame, Banner pieces, Hearts (canvas and cardboard): Punch-EK Success, Jenni Bowlin, and Martha Stewart; Pen-Zig Micron and American Crafts; Stamp-Lawn Fawn; Ink-Jenni Bowlin; Jute-American Crafts; Doily-Wilton; Distress Stains and Martha Stewart Paint
The pattern paper made is pretty easy to get a little "artsy". And I had fun doing it! I went into a lot of detail over on the Basically Bare blog...so I am not going to do it here...If you want to know more about how I did anything, just leave me a comment, email me or head over to the BB blog! I am just going to post some detail pics for your viewing pleasure.
I am falling more in love with the dress form...that I thought I would never use or be able to use!
I lucked out and my little picture fit into the frame!
Canvas hearts...luv these and then the pink and yellow is a cardboard heart cut in half. I doodled!!! LOL
That is all from me today. It has been somewhat busy weekend and I am just going to try to get thru the week until Thursday. I took Friday off to make an "extended" holiday weekend!! See you later in the week!

It is Friday and time for the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbook product challenge over at Sketch Support and the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker blog. This week is the add-on sketch week.
I only got one project done for this. I wanted to do two different ones, but I ran out of time. (note...I seem to be doing that a LOT lately!). So, since I was so late, this is up over on the NS blog and not Sketch Support.
BTW, this is a 6 X 12 inch layout....I had this small picture of Sheldon that I had printed, but the problem...it was small! So, I decided to mix it up a bit. I have lots of smaller pics laying around that I may start doing a few more of these sized layouts for! I always print extras or not the right size.
Supplies: Pattern Paper-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Exit Here); Stickers and Die Cuts-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Exit Here and Noah); Buttons-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Jute-Stampin' Up; Adhesive-Fabri-tac, Scotch and Scrapbook Adhesives; Doily-Wilton
A close up of the add-on that I made for my title.....
There has been some conversation over on TwoPeas about if DT members always have to say they love something. I only work with products I LOVE! Yes, there will be things I am not "excited" about or not sure...but I consider it part of the challenge. (and it's like my real job....there are things I really really don't like to do, but I have do to them...part of the job) And yes, you will probably be able to tell, because I won't be "sure" about my projects, but I post them anyway! I can tell you the Exit Here collection is one of my FAVS from Nikki. I love the colors and just everything about it.
And I can tell you...right after the CHA crunch time...yeah...I really don't like or love ANYTHING that I have had to work with! That feeling goes away after about a month or two, but I do have it! LOL
Ok, enough of that! I just wanted to let you know that yes, there are things I don't LOVE, but that doesn't mean I can't find a way to work with them!
Have a wonderful, fantastic Friday!

If you have been a reader of my blog, you will remember back in the fall, we took a day trip and rode some Segways for the first time. FUN FUN FUN! Totally going to do it again.
I hadn't really scrapped any pictures of that trip yet, but I was in the mood the other day, so I got some ready. I ended up using a Kerri Bradford photo collage just for fun and to get my pictures on the layout in some sort of straight-clean order! And I am in love with the "Lobster" font that I cut "segway" out of! I also used a sketch from the new Sketches for Scrapbooking One Page book to base my layout on. Of course, the only thing that even resembles the sketch is the photo collage!
Supplies: Pattern Paper-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Messages); Die-cuts-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Messages); Chipboard Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Brad-Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Adhesives-Scotch ATG, Fabri-tac, and Scrapbook Adhesives; Ink-Prima Chalk Inks; Sketch-Sketches for Scrapbooking/Allison Davis; Photo Collage-Kerri Bradford
Silhouette Cameo with the following files
Retro_Tree_C0062
Font
Lobster from dafont.com
And the tree...such a fun, cool tree! I was searching for trees in the Silhouette store and as soon as I saw this one, I knew it was the one.
Just a little close up of the ticket. And the colors in the Messages collection are perfect for fall photos.
Well, I think I am going to head to bed. I have a tendency to be a night owl and I had almost broken the habit...but a couple of weekends of staying up late I am back at it again! Have a fun and wonderful Wednesday!

I am excited to be participating in the ScrapbookSteals blog hop for the month of May. I had a guest design spot for them back at the end of March and it was a lot of fun. So, I jumped at the chance to participate in the blog hop this time around. You should have arrived from Becci Manies blog...if not, go over and start at the ScrapbookSteals blog and work your way thru...there is a prize involved!
ScrapbookSteals has TWO steals a day...one at 9AM and one at 9PM. So, you have to be quick to get the deals and trust me they are great deals! And along with the great deals they also have scrapbooking ideas to go along with what they are promoting that day.
Each of us was sent the My Mind's Eye Journal Card kit to play with. At first I had thought about a banner, but then I just decided to put my banner idea to use on a layout.
Supplies: Cardstock-American Crafts; Pattern Paper-My Mind's Eye (Sweet Caroline Dolled Up collection); Tags-My Mind's Eye Journal Card Kit; Twine-The Twinery Baker's Twine; Letter Stickers-My Little Shoe Box, LilyBee Design and Little Yellow Bicycle; Adhesive-Scotch ATG and Fabri-Tac; Ink-Jenni Bowlin (Weathervane)
I used a total of eight tags and only three partial sheets of pattern papers.
I surprised myself on that one.
Here are a few close up shots of the tags I used on the layout.
All of these tags were basically cut in half and then I covered the cut with the polka dot paper. This also gives me the other half of the tag to use on something else!
I love to try to tie tags/journaling spots into my layouts in the titles....it can give the title a little boost of detail and fun.
One of the tags was calling out to me to make a card with it, so I jumped in and made one of those too!
Supplies: Cardstock-American Crafts; Pattern Paper-Simple Stories (Fabulous); Ribbon-Maya Road; Tag-My Mind's Eye Journal Card Kit; Punch-Fiskars; Adhesive-Scotch ATG, Fabri-tac and Scrapbook Adhesives
Silhouette Cameo with the following file
let_journey_begin_C01311_19547
(note-I created an offset for the "let the journey" part of the card...it is not included in the file itself)
A closer look at the tag I used for the jumping point of the card.
So do YOU want to win a 20.00 gift certificate to ScrapbookSteals for a future purchase?! All you have to do is to comment on all the blogs in the hop by no later than 11:59 on Sunday, May 13th (tomorrow!) MST and you are entered to win.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope I have given you some scrapbooking ideas to use in your projects!
Now head over to Brett's blog to see some more inspiration!

Don't ask me...I am not sure what got into me! When Allison sent us the sketches, I did the two page one first?! I usually always start with the card sketch, since it is due first and then go on to the one page sketch. Whee...totally changed directions and as I type this, I do not even have the card sketch attempted yet! (this is mid-April, btw!) Make sure and check out the actual two page sketch over at Sketch Support this week!
Supplies - Patterned Paper:Jillibean Soup (Pasta Fagoli, Chicken Noodle, Dutch Mustard, Blossom Soup, Old World Cabbage Stew); Stickers: Jillibean Soup (Old World Cabbage Stew and Chicken Noodle Soup); Transparency:Hambly Studio; Adhesives: Scotch, Martha Stewart and Scrapbook Adhesives; Ticket: Maya Road; Pen: Zig Micron;
Title:Cut with Silhouette Cameo

A closer look at that transparency.....
And a close up of the title cut with my Cameo
Truthfully, I wasn't happy with this layout when I got it finished. I felt it needed something and I still feel that way. I don't know if it is because I used older papers that I am not totally in love with or if it is because the pictures are older and taken before I took my photography class and I know they could have been better.
BUT, I am leaving it. If I decide to change it up, I will post the after pictures here. Chances are that is NOT going to happen, but you never know if I get a wild hair! LOL
Have a wonderful day!!!

Nikki Sivils and Sketch Support are teaming up all month long with a product challenge at Sketch Support and the girls over at Nikki Sivils are using the Sketches for Scrapbooking for at least one of their projects for the month.
Me, I get the best of both! I participated with the card sketch for the Nikki Sivils part of the Sketch Support challenge. You can see the card sketch over at Sketch Support (Card Sketch 19)
Supplies - Patterned Paper: Nikki Sivils Scrapbooker (Audrey Collection); Cardstock:American Crafts; Punch: EK Success Adhesives:Scotch and Scrapbook Adhesives;
I used the back of the bonus sheet for the bottom layer of striped papers. This is actually the collection kit cover sheet that shows all the papers that come in the kit!
I used the "Happy Mother's Day" from the punch out sheet and placed it over the "dear friend" sentiment on the index card tag. I then used a little of the border in the punch out sheet.
So, there is my card based on the card sketch using Nikki Sivils products! Now, you may ask if I am going to give it to my mom?! Well, I don't know if I will...because she might have already seen this!!!

Well, you know I love the Buttercup collection from LilyBee, so I had to use it to make my card for Sketch Support this week! The colors are just so yummy, I can't seem to get enough of them.
You can't really see it, but I dug out my sewing machine and used it on the yellow layer and once again, I seemed to have gotten my bobbin jammed up. I have GREAT luck at that!
Supplies - Patterned Paper: LilyBee Design (Buttercup Collection); Die Cuts: LilyBee Design (Buttercup Collection); Cardstock:American Crafts; Punch: EK Success Adhesives:Scotch, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives; Sewing Machine
I love the little die cuts that come with the Buttercup collection!
And this index card was perfect to use for my sentiment.
Well, there is my card based on the sketch over at Sketch Support this week. I also have another card later in the week where I participated in the Nikki Sivils product challenge going on this month over there.

So, I want some ideas from YOU (who ever is reading this!) about what you would like to see/hear on my blog. Sometimes I feel like I "talk" too much and other times I wonder if it is not quite enough. I don't know if you just come for the pictures (which is FINE!), to hear what I have been up to, or just come and visit in your regular blog rounds. This is you chance to tell me what you want to see....why do I think I am going to get like ONE response to my question?! Hee hee.....
I went and cropped last night for the first time since January and we had so much fun. There were five of us, but as loud as we were you would think there were more...wait Siri was there on three peoples phones!
I got two layouts done and here is one of them (can't show the other one yet!) and it's for the LilyBee sketch challenge that ends tomorrow. I was cutting it close to get it done!
Supplies: Pattern Paper-LilyBee (Double Dutch); Journaling Tag-LilyBee (Double Dutch); Letters-American Crafts Thickers; Flair Button-{a flair for buttons} (Etsy); Pen-Zig; Adhesives-Scotch ATG and Scrapbook Adhesives
I have had these pictures since about the time I started scrapbooking! So they have been printed about three years and have been carried around waiting for me to use them. I thought the Double Dutch collection had a fun summer vibe to it and would look great with them. Here are a few more closeups.
I have bought a TON of these little flair buttons from {a flair for buttons} Etsy shop. They are so cute and I have to "stay" away, because I know she has more fun designs out now and I need to use these more! And I tried every angle to get the glare out, but it was the time of day I was taking the picture I think.
Well, I think I am going to hit the bed early tonight. Late night of cropping this girl isn't used to anymore! Have a fun Monday.
