Artist Profile

I've been drawing since I could hold a crayon. When I was 14, I was taught how to oil paint by a neighbor who painted wildlife portraits on wood. High school broadened my love for art and different mediums. During the 1980's, I caught the crafting bug and began designing for national craft magazines. I also self-published a line of sewing patterns for stick horses, character kitchen tie towels, decorated sweatshirts and painted wood crafts. During that time, I promoted crafts show in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Life changes brought me back to higher education. I began my college studies in 2003 and now have an Applied Science Degree in Business Management from Northeast Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Studio Art from Wayne State College. It's never too late to go to college.
