Take my hand and let's travel to the land of make believe...
Imaginary interviewer (who just happens to look like Chris Cornell, has the voice of Johnny Depp, and the mind of Tim Burton): How would you describe your art?
KB Toys (that's my nickname): I love Halloween, so I play with bright crayons and want my art to convey a sense of whimsy and humor.
Imaginary interviewer: What is your proudest art moment?
KB Toys: I really should have played the lotto in 2009. Not only did my art make its way to the summer cover of Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine, but I was also the featured artist in their fall issue. You can spy a glimpse of my studio in their fall Studios magazine. Check out that manly man above, he's my guy.
Imaginary interviewer: Aside from your website, where do you sell your art?
KB Toys: I belong to a great online marketplace called Spooky Time Jingles. If you're into Halloween and Christmas folk art, this is the site to visit. Plus, it's run by Dani Nelson, who is one of the best in my book.

I also have been included in a great group of artists who exhibit at Ghoultide Gathering. This Halloween art show is not to be missed. Jump in your cars, hop on a plane, or do whatever you can to attend this show in Michigan. You will not be disappointed!

Even though I'm not an active member these days, EHAG is a wonderful Halloween group. They also have an online marketplace that has themed challenges and all sorts of Halloween goodies.
Imaginary interviewer: Is there anything else we should know about you?
KB Toys: Contrary to popular belief, I do not spend my days watching Telenovela and eating bon-bons. I have a very supportive hubby, three terrific boys, and three sassy cats who manage to keep me company. Thanks for taking the time to read a little about me.
Create on!

What mediums do you prefer to work in?
Paper Clay, wood, gouache, acrylics, paper and anything else I can manage to ruin a good pair of jeans with :)
Who are your favorite artists and why do they inspire you?
My favorite artists are Lane Smith, Leandra Drumm, Marie Patterson, Suz Davis, and Dani Nelson. The last being an inspiration because of all of her hard work and her support of other artists. Speaking of supporting other artists, Robert Brawley is the biggest cheerleader out there!
What gives you inspiration?
Halloween, nature, and humor are my sources of inspiration.
