www.thevanityfaire.comI grew up surrounded by art and artists who encouraged me to be creative and imaginative. I'm a lover of fairy tales and happily ever afters, an eternal optimist and an occasional cynic! I am inspired by history, nature and all things whimsical and fanciful. Sculpting in paper clay and creating mixed media paintings on canvas are my current favorite expressions of folk art. I also try to use unexpected combinations of color, pattern and texture in my art. I hope the whimsical pieces that I create bring as much joy to you as they have me!
What mediums do you prefer to work in?
I enjoy working in many different mediums. Paint, paper clay, canvas, paper, mixed media and more!
Who are your favorite artists and why do they inspire you?
Hmmm...I don't know that I have a favorite artist. There are so many talented people past and present that have given me inspiration.
What gives you inspiration?
What is old is new again...the past inspires me, history and things that are vintage. I am also inspired by nature, things that are mystical, magical, whimsical and quirky.
