He think's he can drive Now
I have a story to tell about my son. When he was about 11 months old he felt that he was old enough to drive our car.  I went up to my uncle place with my mother and father and we was just standing out by my car and we was just talking and our son was still standing in the driver seat of the car playing with the steering wheel.  But low and behold he knock it out of park and the car started rolling back down the hill.  We all jumped out of the way and my father went to put the break on when it hit my father jeep.  We was so grateful that his jeep was in the way cause that was what stopped the car and no one was hurt.

Thank you for coming by and reading my story.  This is a good one of our son.

Thanks for sharing with us..............

Science Project, B+
Our oldest granddaughter had to make a poster for her science class.  It was on molded bread and how long it took to get that way.  She gathered all the information and then she was to put it on a poster to show her teacher.  Here is what she did:

She did a wonderful job on it and her Mom and Dad love the job she did. Also her teacher felt that she did a great job on it and gave her B+ for her work.

Our Easter, Yes I know I'm late.
Our Easter was a wonderful day filled a lot of love and fun for the 4 kids.  This year Easter was a little different for the kids But we loved it and had a lot of fun watching them find there eggs.  This year the Easter bunny left 12 eggs for each children that was like one in in their basket.  They could only find their eggs and not the other kids eggs.  These eggs was filled with stickers and the loved that idea. They didn't get a lot of candy but enough to have fun with everything.

Yes I know there is a lot of pictures but I'm a proud grandma and glad when I have some of my grandchildren here.  Thank you for coming by and I hope you enjoy your Easter as much as we did.  Thanks for coming by.

See what I'm Making
I have been really sick for the last two month and I have been unable to do much at all.  Right now I fighting off Shingles and I never wish that on anyone.  It is so painful at time I just can't stand it.  When my doctor told me what I had he gave me some pain meds to help with the pain.  Then after about 5 days of taking it I started breaking out with a very big rash.  So I think I can't take the pain pills no more.  So right now I have to deal with the pain.  So when I have felt any good at all I have knitted  up to 8 dishcloths for my son mother in law.  I'm so glad to be able to do this for her and it has been so much fun but painful.

My husband got me a dish cloth out of the drawer and it was the same size at it so I know she will like them.  I have made about 4 in this color and more still to come. Now I want to make some for myself and for my daughter.

Thank you for coming by and thanks for any likes or comments.

Banana Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes

Your Cup of Cake

 The Story:
I needed to make something banana, due to the fact that I
had 2 very brown bananas on my counter. But I didn’t
know if I should top them with cream cheese frosting or
chocolate. Cream cheese is basic and simple and chocolate
frosting on a banana cake doesn’t always photograph well
for me. So I decided to do both!

Banana Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes
Yield: 24 Cupcakes
Ingredients
Banana Cake:
1 box Yellow or White Cake Mix
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3-4 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate Buttercream:
3/4 cup butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3-4 cups powdered sugar

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line pans with cupcake liners.
2. Sift cake mix and cinnamon into a small bowl and set aside.
3. In a separate small bowl, finely mash bananas using an fork.
Add baking soda and lemon juice, stir, and set aside.
4. In a large bowl, gently whisk oil, eggs, buttermilk, sour cream
and vanilla extract together.
5. Add bananas to the wet ingredients and stir.
6. Add cake mix and stir until smooth.
7. Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full and bake for 15-22 minutes, or
until and inserted knife comes out clean.
8. Chocolate Swirl Frosting: Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat
cream cheese and butter for 2 minutes. Scrape down bowl
and add vanilla extract. Slowly add powdered sugar until
you reach your desired consistency. Remove from mixing
bowl and place in a small bowl. No need to wash your mixing
bowl, the chocolate buttercream will mix right in!
9. Chocolate Buttercream: Beat butter for 2 minutes. Add
vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Slowly add powdered
sugar until you reach your desired consistency.
10. To swirl the frosting, you will need 3 piping bags. Bag #1,
fill with some of your cream cheese frosting (do not put in too much).
Bag #2, fill with some of your chocolate buttercream (again, not too much).
Bag 3, fill with your desired piping tip, then fit Bags 1 & 2 into it. This
will take a little finessing, but you can do it! (See photo)
11. Pipe onto cooled cupcake and top with sanding sugar and fresh banana slices.

Thank you for coming by and I hope you will like what Lizzy has shared with us.  I have been so sick to even scrapbook or make cards.
I had a double lung infection so I get to take some druga to make me better.

Easy Banana Cupcakes
Thank You Lizzy you did it again.

The Story:
One of my very first posts was this recipe for simple banana cupcakes. But I ended up taking in down a few months ago because the photos were just SO horrendous. But then I start getting nervous emails from people because they couldn’t find the recipe anymore! So here is the recipe, but with photos to redeem myself :)
Easy Banana Cupcakes
Yield: 24 Cupcakes
Ingredients

Banana Cake:
1 box Yellow Cake Mix
1/2 cup flour
3 ripe bananas, medium-small sized
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
3 eggs
1/3 cup oil
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3-4 cups powdered sugar
Chocolate Ganache:
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 tablespoons honey

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line pans with cupcake liners.
2. In a small bowl, sift cake mix and flour together.
3. In another small bowl, finely mash bananas with baking soda and lemon juice.
4. In a large bowl, gently whisk eggs, oil, buttermilk, sour cream and vanilla extract.
5. Add mashed bananas to the wet ingredients and stir. Add cake mix/flour and stir again.
6. Fill liners 3/4 full and bake for 15-18 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
7. Frosting: Beat butter and cream cheese for 3 minutes. Add vanilla extract and slowly add powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency. Add milk to thin out frosting if needed.
8. Ganache: Place chocolate chips in a heat proof bowl. Heat heavy cream on the stove top until bubbles form (not quite a boil). Pour over chocolate chips and whisk until smooth. Add honey and stir again. Let cool for 10 minutes.
9. Pipe buttercream onto cooled cupcakes and top with chocolate ganache and banana slices.

Use Chocolate Jimmies if you don’t want to make ganache!
