I have just started letting my brush take over, my mind relaxes and my hand is guided by my feelings and memories. My artwork is rugged and beautifully textured...the landscape pops right off the canvas, making you feel as if you are right there with the cool ocean breeze and the sound of crashing waves. I mostly work on small woodblock canvases but you will soon be seeing larger pieces of work.
My work has been displayed in many venues, including coffee shops and small galleries. People are drawn to the paintings and usually find one that speaks to them in particular. They walk away happy to have a little part of the earth in their arms.

Laurie Leehane inspired me from childhood...creates moody, beautiful pieces of art from Newfoundland
