HIIIIIIIIIII .

 I GOT TO DO THIS AGIAN  i was halfway thru writing and lost it so here we go   hi everyone how are yall doing its been a really long time since i posted got lots to tell you

first   met a new friend thru my new group online screaming mimis  have you heard of gloria wiener i remember jorge telling me about it on here thats the last time i posted   well lets catch up

ok i had bought gloria wiener modular mermaid and wow thanks to her i learned how to sculpt face and the features on the torso  made friends  i love her so sweet and great teacher  so then i started the mermaid i was so frightened i guess a new skill but i jumped right in .       then  i got everything done except for her arms and hands then i took her pattern

and made a new doll   which will be awsome now im in the works on making two dolls and finishing my other   so the john flynn frame finally got it together man it was nothing i just never got it done got one promise done for a quilt for one of the girls at work and im finishing a quilt top for my niece that i promise   yall remeber the problem i had about decideing on doing one or the other or both well   i did pick up a frame and a accuquilt baby go at the show last yr  but i am not going to do quilting 24/7  i figure if i want to do one i will no hurrys lolo

so i put the frame together and i basted the back for a quilt on leader boy i hope i can do this not use to moving the frame lolol   anyway  ok not working anymore christmas eve i made a big decission about leaving my job been there three yrs well had to my car was giving me problems and at the time didnt have money to fix so between me and hubby i decdied to leave but boss said anytime i want to come back just pick up the phone .

now im joining a group here in houston materail girls    the story with that is at the time

i started learning they were in katy which is really far for me so sure i was sad but i got over it   so then  they moved to houston  in a area im familar with we use to live there ten yrs ago   so i was going to go last month they meet third sat

well hubby was worried about me cause the area was that good i was planning on riding in with him and taking bus

so then he says ill take those saturdays off to take u ok   so hes been off the last couple of sats cause of wedding in family easter   so now he might work well that brings me back to taking bus   he said maybe boss will let me clock out and take u its not that far by car maybe ten min   but i know im going whether he keeps say im worried  i was so upset that day i felt like a kid agian you know when your mom says no and you go in your room and cry lolol  anyway then i find out when i join the dolls im making now im going to put in quilt show this yr woo hoo so excited keep thinking of millions of people looking at my dolls  well thats it for now will put pics on here when i get time byeeeeeeeeee vonda

             

here we go agian lol i just wrote a post and for some reason got deleted lolol  so im going to try this agian   well yes its been a long time i just posted some pics of what i learnd from another great teacher gloria winer mimi as we call her   i found her thru a friend on another group   so i checked it out and i liked her dvd modular mermaids she shows you everyting from making a doll to sculpture to dying and teaches you really good its got six dvds so i had bought it cause i wanted to learn soft sculpture my faces were getting a little better but still didnt learn shading  anyway so it sat there for three to four months i was scared didnt know why cause i already knew how to make a doll so i finally knew it was learning soft sculpture  well at first when u watched her dvd it looks hard but not  so one day i decided ok and i did it my first one was ok but my second got better then i did the torso and as you can see she does the breasts and nipples  now your talking a mermaid so they dont wear clothes lolol  now you can use this for other dolls even tho its a mermaid dvd so i think i found the way i want to do my dolls   thru all this i met a good friend too annway i promise it wont be so long ill keep in touch will send more pics the one i put up was my second face and torso   i will post as i finish talk soon hugsssss   vonda

i want to wish everyone a very merry christmas i been busy if not dolls other things  after christmas i will be staying home for awhile im ok just needed  some time off  also my car is not running right and right now just going to park her and fix her a little at a time cant aford another car already have one payment we dont want to go intodebt  just now getting out of it but my boss says anytime im ready to come back she will hire me in a heartbeat so ive enclosed  a pic of my hand which i finally turned   and holly she is finished and going to a good home now she was donated for the christmas lunch  so im got alot of things planned for one get my house in order  well thats it for now oh yes

anyone have any suggestions on what and how to make  gloves now not the ones that cover the whole hand but where u just see the top of her fingers  any suggestions

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii  all woo so much now im doing well to start im into quilting now not as active as i use to be before i started doll making   ok first thing i went to the quilt fest  here in houston i met one of the from material girls i saw the gyspy challange and dolls that the doll club entered  wow brought  tears to my eyes   bought two big itiems one a flynn frame and other accuquilt go baby with dies   oh i did buy a cute elf patter and some fabic for using to scuplt my heads with and i bought some finger turnerss i did some hands had problems but i did a lady from tx there she gave me a tip on sewing seams twice which i  did help me so holly is done will be post pic soon working on my next doll purple one im planning on going to the doll convention in july here in austin anyone going let me know we can all meet   im saving my money

  i started me ajournal anytime i get a idea i write it down i got this cool idea for a doll i want to make my sister since she collects frogs i want to make her a doll called princess of the frog s  and i asked jenifer for a pattern which she wrote me  back gave me her answer thanks jen   i might find it somewhere i already thinking of what color hair what yall thi ng green or white with a little bit of light green in it   thats it for now talk agian soon bye

yes im still here alive and doing great had drs last tues lab came out great i dont know if yall know im diab  well took three nutriction classes talk about everything changing wow my hdca1 were lower my colesteral was great and my thryrod were greal also   now on the other hand   been really busy  trying to get holly done kind of been away from making more dolls one i bought mimis mermaid dvd watched the whole thing   wow im going to make one of those the mermaid im finishing is nothing compared to hers lolol  but kinda  scared anyway   and i decided to get back into my quilting not like i use to before  but have to finish something i started before i got into dolls   i think if you were to put it at a percentige  i think dolls 75 and quilts 25      ok  now im not sure if i told you about turning hands i did it yea took a yr lolol but i think i master it now fixing to start cutting a doll pattern i have a really nice boss and her favorite colors are purple and pink so im going to make her a doll for xmas she know im making her something but not sure what    so holly is almost done i have to put some ribborn around her legs and finsih her little shoppingnbag i got but i decide to hold off on mermaid i rather start mimis  im all excited about the quilt show thats coming i cant wait going to buy more things for my dolls thats it for now        hugs vonda

hi everyone on well four more weeks til quilt show woo hoo  im trying to meet patti cuela  shes going to be there  also im getting back into my quilting yes im still going to do my dolls i just needed time to focus on dolls since i was learning now i can do both   ok like my title said remember when i first started i had so much trouble turning fingers everyone says try this try that way so i just gave up and did the mitten type hands  well i been going back and fourh on mimis website and joined another group which i found out jorge is in it too   so i met a lady there and she wants to meet me   anyway i looked at one of video about fingers well the only thing i had were the curved hemostats so i cut out pattern and started turning one was hard i did take her advice on using a pin to help with the wrinkles and the one came threw easy i did poke two holes but added glue like she said well here is the results i know one finger is cooked cause i did a bo boo

maybe the wait is over   and also some one told me to cut it out on the bias so its easyier to turn cause it stretches thats another thing i did

well shes coming along i got her two layers of net on one more then i put on a layer of red shell be done soon i gave her some earrings
