I am 17 months away from hitting 30 and I love everything crafting to do with stitches. I love Cross Stitching, Crocheting, Latch Hooking, Needle Point, Loom Knitting, and Sewing. I am new to loom knitting but have picked up the basic's of it and am well on my way to making a pair of preemie tube socks.

I have been crafting for 23.5 years since I was in kindergarten. As the last 23 and a half years have passed I have learned 8 different crafts and hope to learn more starting with Rag Quilting and Regular Quilting, but Rag first.

I grew up on the Oldies and Country music, making the switch to country when I was 10. Not a lot listen to it, but I really love it. I listen to a little rock thanks to liking wrestler's theme music. I have lots of downloaded music from Amazon on both of my computers.

I am a student in my BSIT program. To make some mad money as my dearly departed Grandmother would say, I opened IStitchWithLove on Etsy. Everything I love making is in that shop as well as my own patterns and other's that I have made up and have given due credit for. So if I can make it that uses some sort of stitches, you will find it there.

I crochet for charity, my shop, and family. I started crochet for charity almost 2 years ago in August. I started after the shock that my beloved Grandmother had passed wore off. It brings me great joy to make stuff for preemies and babies. I do it with my Grandmother's spirit in my memory. She was always giving to charity and I have continued that in her memory.

I am making a huge transition next March or April when I finally move out on my own for good. Before when I moved out, I was with people. So I am going to do something my Grandmother always dreamed of, have a place that is all mine. I wont be sharing with another human being, just my 2 doggies. I am moving out to no man's land. My closest family will be hours away, so I will be truly on my own.

I am moving to Cincinnati, Ohio. Then rent is affordable and I like the area. It will take some adjusting to living in a major city as for the last almost 11 years, I have lived in farm area and for 2 years in Virginia, I lived in an incorperted town..so needless to say, I've been in the backwood for almost 13 years. So a major city with like 7 to 10 area codes just in the main city limit, not including the suburbs will be a shock, but I will be on my own and will enjoy learning how to get around on the bus and what not. I just need to complete my BSIT first and then move within my time off window before starting my MBA.

Finally I am a teacher over at  http://ecraftclasses.com/ . I have card making, crochet, and cross stitch classes over there. A total of 38 classes so far. I really enjoy it and it is rewarding.

What mediums do you prefer to work in?
I prefer Cross Stitch, Crochet, and Loom Knitting. So fibers of some kind. I also enjoy card making which combines paper crafting and cross stitch
Who are your favorite artists and why do they inspire you?
Van Gogh, John Shannon, Dennis Lewan. Van Gogh's Starry Night is simply awe inspiring to me with the colors and level of detail. I found Shannon's Photoshop art to be magical as it deals with sci fi and fantasy, both I am a big fan of. Lewan paints some very vivid village scenes and I love collecting village stuff
What gives you inspiration?
My dogs, whimsical or pretty stuff, warm weather months, mother nature, my Grandma Judy, bright colorful Daylilies, bright colors, pastels, some earth tones.
