We've always had our hands into it... just not always together.   We have singularly shown our work on ebay, etsy and here - ou may know us better as Lesleysloft and Secondstar.

We live 400 miles apart, and it's kinda hard to show and tell or to do our craft together.  Finally we came upon an idea - to cut silhouttes and make printed compostions from our work - so easy to share with each other, thanks to technology. So if as you see a silhoutte that kindles a memory... you may have seen a photo of me as a young witch at halloween... yes, we raided the family photo box... and oh what fodder! Ha!  More likely you will see one of Lesley's paintings pared down to a black silhoutte.  We love what we do and we love that we can do it together.

What mediums do you prefer to work in?
Any and all! But currently as a team, we are cutting silhouettes. We use our silhouettes to make printed projects for ourselves, friends and family. We've started sharing these projects on etsy. So paper and scissors... paper and glue... paper and ink... paper!
Who are your favorite artists and why do they inspire you?
So many. We tend to favor illustrators of life, whimsy and the just plain "cute". So Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, Arthur Rackham and many of vintage illustrators such as Bessie Pease.
What gives you inspiration?
What we see every day. Many of our silhouettes are done from old family photos of just such days.
