Artist Profile

I am a full-time doll maker and mixed media artist. I love encaustics, clay; all things that go boom, fire and passion. i love that i only own one thing that doesn't have paint or medium splattered on it and i know it has been a good day when my hands resemble  Lavender Mist: Number 1. My work ranges from whimsical to dark, and i work in all mediums- My goal is to push the envelope with the mediums I work with, because I love seeing what they will really do, not what i am told they will do :o) . I never read directions.

 I enjoy people that have the ability not to take themselves too seriously, laugh out loud on a daily basis, can find joy in the unexpected and show kindness to strangers without expecting anything in return.

I love to travel but hate being the tourist. You will never find me on a "tour" looking out of a bus, but instead, down on your street, rummaging through your rubbish; looking to discover the real you.

I am ever changing, ever evolving, ever improving. Ever trying to improve my craft. because art is a craft. don't let anyone tell you different :o)

while i have an etsy shop, at times the listings may be minimal as i do show/sell primarily to galleries, open air markets and shops. i post photos of current wips/finis on my FB fanpage- inquires to purchase get answered there first (if not already listed on etsy/artfire)

commission work is always appreciated. and i am always looking for representation by new shops and galleries - but mostly I love the one on one customer/art lover that sneaks up on me out of now where and becomes my newest collector- they thrill me to no end.
